The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL was based on the 180 and was developed as an elegant convertible for travelling.
When the engineers designed the chassis they had the legendary 300-SL with folding doors as a model. The 190 SL is equipped with a 1.9 litre four-cylinder engine, which delivers 77 kW. With this the Mercedes-Benz accelerates in about 14 seconds from 0 to 60 mph and goes on until a top speed of 106 mph.
